This month’s event will be hosted by Joyce Mahon, sometimes referred to as “The Queen of Croonerista” by Charlie of Ritz Brothers. Personally she thinks it’s more drama than royal!
So Joyce has been asked is there a theme for this month’s Croonerista, and she’s thought of several.
>The 80s decade.
>Crying with laughter, funny and sad songs.
>Cheese and crackers. Guilty cheesy numbers and great standard.
>Artists such as Prine, Cohen, Springsteen. Or Mitchell, Baez or Madonna.
>Trad, folk, blues, rock, show tunes, spoken word.
>Originals and songs of peace and love for the times.
So all the above and more is Croonerista. So whatever fires and inspires. Brings you up and helps you down.
Come along on Friday 11th April from 8.30pm. Singing starts at 9pm.
