Ministers for Transport take steps to enable use of bus lanes by Blood Bike Medical Transport services

Our original article relating to the Blood Bikers from teh 20 August 2025 is as follows…

Not all heros wear capes.

One such hero is the Club Trustee, a man of action who wears many hats.

One of these is the BLOOD BIKERS hat, a grouping of volunteers who deliver and collect medicines and medical supplies around Dublin and Ireland, to and from hospitals and patients.

Michael appeared on RTÉ recently to highlight a serious issue regarding the Bus Lanes.

It is a particularly apt conversation considering the recent grassroots movement of residents meeting in the Club, coupled with the hundreds of signatures collected to oppose the no left turn out of the CIE Works Estate.

Who would have thought legislation has not caught up with this obvious and necessary exemption.

Congratulations to our CIE Hall Trustee
