The Works Festival

The Smithfield Creatives are back to the Club for their 3rd year and we’re proud to host and support these creatives. Founded and driven by Adam Kelly and co., the event has gone from strength to strength.

This year sees an expanded event being held over 2 days with more visible support from the local and excellent Rascal’s Brewery, IMRO and TFI.

Always a great line up or bands, singers, poets, artists. A surprising find for some of us, during previous events, was the “urban poetry”. Powerful stuff altogether.

2 Days of Music, dancing, food and fun

Dublin, Ireland – Smithfield Creatives is proud to present The Works Festival 2025, a local arts festival focussed on bringing local unsigned talent in Ireland to an audience in an affordable, safe, and fun environment. Taking place over 15th and 16th August 2025 at the historic C.I.E. Hall, InchicoreDublin, this indoor festival will feature music, spoken word, a craft fair and an Irish Dance Céilí.

Now in its third year, the indoor community arts festival will bring musicians, poets, crafters, and céilí dancers to Inchicore over two days. As an affordable and indoor music festival, The Works offers the best of emerging talent and an opportunity to gather with your friends, all without the need for wellies.

Over two days, immerse yourself in music from instrumental funk band Chief Keegan, emerging Irish indie rockers Dominda, pixie-indie singer songwriter RVE, genre-melding Chase Nova Band, and folk artist Kenan Flannery, spoken word from noir writer The Vagabond Queen, writer, performer, and cultural consultant Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan, ‘Make Ireland Grand Again’ legend Jimbo Dillon, and performances from many more incredible artists. Browse our Art Market for a handmade gift or get your dancing shoes on and join us for an Irish Dance Céilí.

This is a fully indoor festival so no need for wellies or rain coats.
There’ll be food trucks to fuel the merriment and the C.I.E. Hall’s bar will be fully stocked and staffed.

A Gathering of Art and Community

The Works Festival is presented by Smithfield Creatives, a platform for artists founded and run by Adam Kelly.

The unique and historical C.I.E. Hall has long been a local community focal point for education, sports, social and cultural programmes.

On the partnership, Joe Donnelly of Rascals Brewing Company said:

“Rascals is delighted to once again support The Works Festival this year. In a city which seems to be experiencing unrelenting commercial development and ever-rising costs of living, it’s more important than ever to provide support and – more significantly – a space for emerging creatives to perform and engage with their followers and communities, as well as bringing their work to new audiences. This is what The Works is all about and we’re proud to play a part in making it a viable and successful annual event.”

The Works Festival 2025 is supported by Rascals Brewing Company and D&R Construction. The Works Festival 2025 was launched at Rascals HQ in Goldenbridge Industrial Estate, Inchicore, Dublin 8 on 4th July with performances from festival artists Taylor D, Chase Nova, Phil Kenny, and Kenan Flannery.
